Michael Ernest Debreceny (47) of North Carolina has been arrested for the 20-year-old murder of his wife Lisa Debreceny.
The Sacramento Police Departments’ Cold Case unit in partnership with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, the Sacramento County Crime Lab and the Sacramento County Coroners Office uncovered new information that unveiled a horrific tale of domestic violence and murder. According to investigators, sometime during the late evening hours of November 10, 1985, Michael Debreceny was involved in a physical altercation with his wife that ultimately led to her death.
The Cold Case Unit reopened the case and uncovered new information. Based upon the new information, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of Michael Debreceny for murder. Investigators from the Cold Case unit in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Franklin County Sheriff’s office in North Carolina located and arrested Debreceny at his home on Eaves Drive in Franklin County, North Carolina.
Debreceny is being held at the Franklin County Jail pending extradition back to Sacramento.

Possible Transcripts from Qualex Interviews
Thank you Scotty for this informative and imaginative insight to the Interview process:
My first thought was, "What kind of questions was HR asking prospective employees in the last year or two?! Do you like chocolate or vanilla? Do you like sports or music concerts? What's your favorite book? Have you seen any good movies lately? Geeze!
Maybe they were more direct: Here's a possible transcript from some recent interviews that might have occured:
HR. Have you committed any murders since I first asked this question?
MD: ummm...No. What about strangulation...theoretically--does that count?
HR: Not if it was done in another state and you were never caught.
MD: Ah, well, that makes feel better already! I'll just gently remove my hands from your neck then.
HR:Thank you! You have a strong grip! You should do well here!

HR. Have you sexually molested or assaulted a minor in the last 20 minutes?
CM: ummm...let me check...did you say TWENTY minutes?...ahh, well then.. ummm. No. but what about the last few years--do they count?
HR: Don't be silly! Kids grow out of those kind of things! Congratulations and by the way that was really nice of you to offer to come over to my house and babysit our 14 year daughter tonight.
CM: No problem! I just love kids! Really...I really do love kids! I can't wait!

ZEBULON -- Deputies arrested a 41-year-old man Tuesday in connection with the molestation of a 14-year-old girl, according to arrest warrants. Carl David Moon, of 515 Derby Place in Zebulon, was charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of statutory sex offense. The incidents occurred from 2001 through July 2003, according to arrest war- rants. Moon was being held at the Wake County jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, according to jail officials.
A final comment: I found this very interesting. If you check out Carl's incoceration record, you will find that he was charged with this crime before he was hired at Qualex. He was charged with this crime on July 20, 2002. I know for a fact, that he was a new hire at Qualex in June of 2003. Great job checking backgrounds, Joe!

Mike Debreceny: Qualex's Finest
It seems Mike has a darker past than we thought. We always knew there was something he wasn't telling us, but we figured he was probably into having sex with animals or children. Needless to say, this blew us away. Mike is accused of killing his former wife, Lisa, in a Mid-town Sacramento Hotel 20 years ago. He was brought in for questioning then, but the Police did not have enough evidence to make a case. They re-opened the case in 2004, and arrested him on January 4, 2006 at his house in rural Franklin county. He is to be extradited to California immediately.More Information in these links:
